1974
Carlo Campominosi, a former 3M employee in the adhesives and Tapes Department during the 1960s, and his wife Renata dreamed of starting a small independent company. They began with their home garage as a warehouse, and in 1974, PFR was founded. The company was established with the ambitious goal of providing businesses with an alternative to mechanical fastenings. PFR quickly became a distributor for 3M.
1978
Things get serious: from the garage to their first office. PFR also acquires the distribution rights for the 3M Safety Division, purchases its first rudimentary lathe, and its first computer! Along with these developments, their eldest daughter Francesca arrives, followed shortly by their second child, Paolo. With the use of the first lathe and later the first PFR die-cutter, the company officially transitions into a craft business and begins to resemble more closely what it is today.
1994
PFR expands, inaugurating its first owned premises at Via Volta 34 in Costabissara, which is still our production site today. We purchase a second lathe.
1998 - 2004
The team grows: Linda, the third child of the Campominosi family, joins the company, along with several collaborators who still work with us today: Mauro, Martina, Paola, Pierpaolo… long-standing faces at PFR for over 20 years.
2007
We need more space and innovation. The world is changing, and so is PFR. The premises are expanded with the acquisition of new facilities, the adoption of cutting-edge cutting and die-cutting machines, and the establishment of the first real sales network. Francesca, Paolo, and Linda begin to take the lead in the company.
2012
Technical expertise, increasingly sophisticated material customization options, and the know-how of our collaborators are the added value that set PFR apart. We begin to focus on web strategies and marketing, further expanding our product offerings through the distribution of new brands.
2014
PFR is a company that looks to the future. The first e-commerce platform is launched, and the sales network and areas of operation are expanded. At the same time, productivity is enhanced. Now, double-sided sheets can be produced in-house, management software has become much more efficient, and the company increasingly adopts an industrial style.
2018
Being good at your job is essential, but knowing how to communicate it is just as important. PFR embarks on a new communication strategy: it revamps its showroom and web platforms, participates in industry trade shows, and emphasizes the importance of staff training, the true beating heart of the company. PFR becomes a 3M Gold Converter in Italy, assuming an exclusive role within the Italian Converter Network.
2019
3M invests and continues to invest in our capabilities, rewarding us with recognition that sets us apart globally as official partners and converters of 3M adhesive materials. As a 3M Preferred Converter, we are involved in the research and development of new products and periodically receive training and updates on new product lines.
The evolution continues with PFR's acquisition of a new property in Creazzo (VI), dedicated to a new and unprecedented retail point for safety equipment, as well as a new concept headquarters for PFR's management and commercial operations. This marks the beginning of what is now CampoSicuro Srl, a company born from PFR, which serves as a reference point in the Vicenza area for independent workers, artisans, and businesses for the supply of personal protective equipment, footwear, and workwear.
2023
A year of great commitments and expectations: the inauguration of the new retail point in Creazzo and the introduction of new machinery at the production site. Additionally, new digital projects are being planned to expand our customer base and enhance customer support.
3M once again confirms its trust in our partnership and honors us with a new exclusive global logo, Adhesive Preferred Distributor, which brings us great satisfaction and further cements our long-standing collaboration with 3M.
2024
In 2024, camposicuro.it is launched, a platform dedicated to individuals and companies, featuring a carefully selected range of safety products and, of course, the updated selection of 3M PPE.
At the same time, the new pfr.it website dedicated to businesses takes shape. It’s more than just a visual refresh; it serves a very specific purpose: to provide customers with the ability to connect with PFR in a different, convenient, fast, and cutting-edge way, and to better offer what PFR has always considered not just a product, but a complete and customized service.
